Seisiun Mor Festival For Templemore this May Bank Holiday Weekend

An Seisiun Mor Festival welcomes you to Templemore over the May Bank Holiday Week end. Failte Romhaibh Chuig An Seisiún Mór. An Seisiún Mór is an annual charity festival raising vital funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.  Over the past two years An Seisiún Mór ran over a one day period, this year 2013, the festival will commence on Sat 4th May and run through to Mon 6th May.

An Seisiún Mór encapsulates all that is traditional and cultural in our community.  It endeavours to draw together the extraordinary skills and talents of our community and create a Synergy of Excitement that will no where else be found.
The weekend kicks off with “Twisted” on Saturday evening 4th May at 6pm. Our-beautiful Town Park’s full potential will be explored by eager and adventurous runners who are willing to accept the 5km TWISTED Lakeside Obstacle Challenge. (Contact Aidan 087 8539521 for futher information on

There will be lots more fun and excitement for the family with food and bouncy castles. Following adventures and entertainment in the Town Park Saturday evening our Legendary “Manna South Original” Band will give a live concert in the Town Square starting at 9pm, and if that’s not enough excitement for one evening “Those Fire Guys” will put on a cool fire display.  If after all the street entertainment you are tempted to go home, THINK AGAIN, more entertainment in all the PUBS in Templemore.
An Seisiún Mór MUSIC Festival will take place on the SQUARE in Templemore on Sunday 5th May.  Musicians, dancers, singers, story tellers will congregate on the Square from near and far to entertain you for the afternoon.  Session kicks off at 2pm.  There will be lots of fun activities for the kids, bouncy castles, face painting, nail art, tattooing, hair braiding, cranial therapy, BBQ, Street restaurant, pony trap rides and lots of arts and craft stalls. A 24 hour wood turning by Thomas Adlum that aims to break the Guinness book of records.
