The U 18 ½ A footballers qualified for the final of the competition when they overcame a very strong challenge from Abbey C.B.S. on Thursday last in the semi-final. Alan O’Riordan at centre-back was the mainstay of an impressive back line while in the forwards; John Mc Grath dictated the pace. The decisive goal that sealed Templemore’s victory came from another Loughmore player, Brian Mc Grath. We expect a strong challenge from Clonmel High School in the final which will be played on Friday December 9th. Camogie

Our Lady’s Junior camogie team qualified for the final of the Tipperary U 16 ½ A competition when they defeated Nenagh in the semi-final on Thursday last. The final score in the semi-final was 5-8 to 2-3 in favour of Our Lady’s. Best of Luck in the final to Coach, Ms Brennan and to the team.

Basketball

Our Senior Basketball team had a good victory over Tullamore in their final league round at the school GYM on Friday last. Unfortunately, due to a one point defeat in an earlier round, this ends their interest in the competition. The Cadet team had a convincing victory over Tullamore in a challenge game at the same venue on Friday. Well done to the Senior and Cadet teams and to their coach, Ms. Mary Fitzpatrick.
