Donaghmore - Ballybrophy

Long Wait - The Bridge at Killadooley Cross, Donaghmore is causing untold hardship. Laois County Council have made so many false promises but time has passed and the bridge had not been touched. The residents have to make a ten mile round trip when they go out to get their daily needs or to get the children to Killesmeestia School. We are told the cost of repairing this small bridge will be 100,000 euros, which is a big change to the given cost of 30,000 euros. It appears people have to suffer on and looks at this road completely closed off with residents living only some yards away. So the hardship, inconvenience and extra cost of getting out goes on.
