First Holy Communion - The children and their families are continuing to prepare prayerfully for this special sacrament. Moycarkey Church on Saturday next, May 14th at 11 a.m.; Two-Mile-Borris on Sunday next, May 15th at 10.30 a.m. and Littleton Church on Saturday, 21st May at 11 a.m.

Exam Mass - There will be a special Mass for all young people from the parish involved in exams this year. The Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady and St. Kevin’s Church, Littleton on this Wednesday, 11th May at 7.30 p.m.

Memorial Mass - For James (Jim) Mackey, England and formerly from Parkstown, Horse & Jockey in Moycarkey Church on this Friday, 13th May at 11.30 a.m. Committal of ashes afterwards in the Old Cemetery, Moycarkey.

A.C. - There will be a clothing recycling drive in aid of Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. on Friday, 20th May from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 21st May from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the following locations, Two-Mile-Borris Community Hall, O’Dwyer Transport, Ballymoreen and the Handball Alley, Horse & Jockey. Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes (in any condition) also bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. Wearable clothes will be recycled and reused and other items will be recycled for items such as industrial wipes or sound proofing. No household bric-a-brac. Golf - Congratulations to Centenary Thurles Co.-Op. on their victory that took the Dairy Board Cup All-Ireland Title on Saturday last at Killenard Laois Golf Course. The team was captained by Joe Kerrigan C.E.O., John Hackett and Denis Kennedy.
