This machine has been around town on a number of occasions. The people and the business community of Roscrea are impressed with its abilities. Roscrea Men’s Shed are grateful to Michael Lowry TD for securing the funding, which will also be featured on RTE1’s Nationwide on 18th August. The Mens Shed will feature as part of Tidy Towns Roscrea. This week the men have cleaned not just the footpaths of the town centre, but on Bank Holiday Monday the Convent Hill and Church Street footpaths were also swept by our new machine. The lads in the shed are now fully engaged in our programme (Lets Clean Roscrea). This entails sweeping the footpaths, organising the removal of rubbish from the approach roads & offering our services to the communities of the town. Over the coming weeks and months the men’s shed will roll out a number of pilot projects in conjunction with the Co. Council. We are always looking for new members, aged 18 & older. We are open Tuesday and Thursday 10am -5pm, but are willing to look at opening evenings and days as they suit. Contact roscreamensshed@Hotmail.com 0871049198.
