Tipperary County Council is still waiting for contracts to be signed for the completion of the water treatment plant at Ballycommon, Nenagh Municipal District councillors have been told.
Director of services Gerry Robinson was replying to a query on the plant by Cllr Seamus Morris, who described the hold-up as “frustrating”.
He said that the local school, residents and businesses were depending on getting the plant “across the line”. He was supported by Cllr Ger Darcy, who said the village had come on in “leaps and bounds” over the past eight years.
Mr Robinson told Cllr John Carroll that compiling a snag list was part of the contract and had yet to be completed.
