Relay for Life Tipperary hosts afternoon dance for cancer survivors

A special afternoon treat has been organised in Nenagh for cancer survivors ahead of this year’s Relay for Life, which takes place in Toomevara GAA grounds on August 15-16.

A special afternoon treat has been organised in Nenagh for cancer survivors ahead of this year’s Relay for Life, which takes place in Toomevara GAA grounds on August 15-16.

As well as raising vital funds to support the Irish Cancer Society’s work, Relay is held to increase cancer awareness, celebrate the lives of survivors, remember those who lost their lives to cancer, and unite a community in the fight against cancer.

One of the most important groups at Relay for Life events are the survivors. The survivors are the VIPs. Noelle Clancy, chairperson Survivors, has organised a Survivors Reception Afternoon Dance in the Scouts Hall, Nenagh, from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, July 26.

The event will be informal information afternoon and get together before the main event in August. Noelle is urging is urging all survivors to come along to enjoy the afternoon and hear about Relay for Life Tipperary.
