The quality of roadworks being carried out by Tipperary County Council needs to be questioned, according to Cllr Joe Hannigan.
He told the February meeting of Nenagh Municipal District Council that the work needed to be assessed as there was a lot of work that was a “waste of money”.
The Independent councillor called for a chain of responsibility when it came to road works, saying the road at Puckaun outside Nenagh was “not up to standard. The quality is not there.”
Meanwhile, Cllr Mattie Ryan welcomed the announcement of E150,000 towards work at Latteragh where the road collapsed before Christmas, but warned that more funding was needed.
