Road signs around Ballinderry are ending up in car boot sales in Kilkenny, Cllr Joe Hannigan has claimed.
And the Independent councillor from Kilbarron revealed that he had travelled to Kilkenny to try and get them back.
He urged the council to bring in a licensing system for car boot sales so that traced stolen goods can be recovered and sellers sanctioned.
Meanwhile, Cllr Ger Darcy, FG, told Nenagh Municipal District Council it was “embarrassing” that the county’s cycle routes had all turned white from wear. He said the council should take them down “as a matter of urgency”.
