A man aged in his 30’s - arrested during a Garda operation in Thurles on Tuesday (29th July) - was charged on Thursday in connection with the investigation (31st July).
The male appeared before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court, on Thursday afternoon at 3pm.
Gardaí arrested the male and seized drugs as part of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Co. Tipperary.
Heroine, Amphetamine and Cannabis with a combined estimated street value of €40,000 (pending analysis) was seized when uniform Gardaí and members of the Divisional Drugs Unit searched a house in Thurles yesterday evening (29/7/2014). A male aged in his 30s was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Thurles Garda Station. (He can be detained for up to seven days).
