Nenagh Gardai have been asked to monitor the junction of Clare Street and William Street where an illegal right hand turn is still be used by motorists.
Cllr Conor Delaney has written to Supt Bob Noonan requesting that a foot patrol monitor what he said was a “dangerous junction”.
He said he had seen first-hand the numerous motorists that were still using this turn, and reminded drivers that a serious accident occurred there only a few years ago.
“Nenagh The Town Council has discussed this issue on several occasions over the past few years and the only realistic solution was to impose a no right hand turn. People are ignoring the sign. It’s time for the Gardai to intervene,” he said.
