Attempting to claim People’s Choice at this year’s Young Environmentalist Awards

While the groups are now preparing for the final and hoping to impress the judges enough to scoop one of the 10 category prizes, they are also seeking the public’s support with their project.

Until May 10th, these young environmentalists are looking for your vote to help them lay claim to the prestigious ECO-UNESCO People’s Choice Award.

The People’s Choice Award is one category that is out of the judges’ hands, with the public having all the power! The shortlisted projects range from constructing greenhouses made of plastic bottles, sustainably run outdoor festivals to rooftop city gardens and the public can now vote for their favourite on www.ecounesco.ie

Speaking about the People’s Choice Awards, National Director of ECO-UNESCO Elaine Nevin commented; “We’re delighted that the public can get involved with the Young Environmentalist Awards in such an interactive and fun capacity and have their say on the projects. Given the excellent standard of projects and the hard work and innovation behind each; voters are going to be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing their favourite.

I wish all the finalists the very best of luck!”
