ATHLETES QUALIFY FOR ALL-IRELAND:Well done to our representatives in the Munster Schools Cross Country Championships held last Thursday in Waterford. All 7 girls who took part in the event have qualified for the All Irelands following some magnificent individual and team performances on what was an extremely testing course. In the Minor Girls race our first team member across the finish line was Roisin Daly in 6th position. Following Roisin were fellow 1st Year students Anna Gavin, Muireann O’Connell, Ciara Bracken, Avril Hogan and Sorcha Moloney. The team secured bronze medals and this 3rd place finish sees them through to the All Ireland which will be held in University of Ulster Jordanstown, Belfast on March 9th. Joining the Minor team at the national final will be 2nd Year Avril Deegan who ran strongly in the Junior Girls category and powered home in 10th position. Well done to you all.
