A Notice of Motion tabled by Councillor Virginia O’Dowd (Labour) at the monthly meeting of North Tipperary County Council recently calling on Minister Joan Burton to set up a Central Means Testing Board which would enable applicants to provide all the relevant information just once, received cross party support from members.

Cllr O’Dowd told members that the aim would be to have all the Government departments accessing this information as needed, so that they could determine whether an applicant is eligible for support.
