Cloughjordan Ecovillage launched its EcoLearn Calender of Events 2013 today. From hands-on eco-building to growing your own vegetables, exploring a new sharing economy or discovering North Tipperary’s Medieval history, the programme highlights over 40 events on offer in the ecovillage and in Cloughjordan throughout 2013.
The Ecovillage, Ireland’s largest eco neighborhood located in Cloughjordan, North Tipperary, is hosting six Cloughjordan EcoLearn Experience Days between April and October that will offer fun, inspiring learning experiences and unique opportunities to learn about the diversity of topical issues that are being explored in the ecovillage.
Be inspired by the beauty of cob as a building material (April) and experience practical ways to protect and enhance biodiversity and strengthen our communities (May). Learn how we can address the challenges of moving to a low-carbon society (June) and explore the possibilities in localising food systems (July). Find your path to achieving personal well being through community (Sept) and discover ways to build your own home without a mortgage (Oct). The programme includes many practical ways that you can lower your cost of living and your carbon footprint at the same time.
The Calendar of Events Guide also brings you details of significant cultural events hosted by other local development groups including the Cloughjordan Community Development Committee, the Cloughjordan Heritage Group, Cloughjordan Festival and Cloughtoberfest.
Cloughjordan has a big vision of being a destination for sustainability; that vision is now a reality. Join us in 2013 for one of the inspiring workshops on offer!
