Weekly Story Time

We are delighted to announce that our ever popular Story Time for 3 to 6 year old is returning to the Library, following the rescheduling of our Opening Hours for the Summer. Story Time will take place every Thursday at 10.30am during the summer months. It is aimed at children aged 3 to 6. All are welcome, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Gardens and Parks of Tipperary Photographic Exhibition

Currently on display in our Exhibition Space is a collection of entries to the “Gardens and Parks of Tipperary” photographic competition held in 2011 in conjunction with Tipperary Libraries, the Credit Unions of Tipperary and Hickey’s Pharmacy in Thurles. There are some wonderful photos in this bright and colourful exhibition.  This exhibition will run until the end of June. Family Fun Day

Bournea Parish Family Fun Day will take place in Clonakenny village on Sunday the 22nd of July at 2pm. There will be vintage machines, bouncy castles, wellie throwing, wet sponge throwing, races, bric a brac and book stales etc. You can even try your hand at milking a cow. To end the day there will be a duck race down the river Nore. The admission ticket includes a fantastic raffle

Roscrea Comhaltas CD “Og is Aosta” can be purchased in Super Value and Tesco in Roscrea or from any branch member. Cost €10.

Sports Ability

The Sports Ability Club is a group for children and teenagers with a disability. The club meets every Friday evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm and new members are always welcome. Contact Jackie on (087)6220252 or Johnny on (087) 6331379 for full details.


Visitation of the sick, whether in their homes or in hospital, is part of a priest’s work. If there is anyone sick, housebound or hospitalised who would like a visit from a priest, please contact the Parish Office at (0505) 31835.
