The Annual General Meeting of Clonoulty - Rossmore Vintage Club was held recently in Clonoulty Hall.

In the Chairman’s address Liam O’Dwyer thanked all the officers and members for their help during the last year. In the present economic climate it was a good achievement to be able to give a donation of €10,000 to South Tipperary Hospice Movement last year. He expressed his thanks to the public for all their financial contributions. He also wished to thank Joe and Helen Hamemrsley for the continued use of their field without which the rally wouldn’t be as successful. Liam encouraged members to keep trying to come up with fundraising ideas throughout the year. He also asked members to keep in mind that at this year’s vintage rally we will have a second field of trade stands; we need to start approaching suitable exhibitors as the stands will have to be booked well in advance. The rally will be on Sunday the 19th August 2012.

We will also run a barn dance, fun run and bucket collection all of which work will have to commence on straight away. Judy Hayes gave her usual detailed secretarial report on all the meetings held throughout the year highlighting the milestones in chronological order.

The Treasurer prepared an Income and Expenditure Account for the year which was presented to the meeting, Trish Mulhall was praised for all her hard work and her diligent financial control.

The PROs provided a scrapbook of all the promotion work carried out throughout the year. All the local papers, The Tipperary Star, The Nationalist, Tipperary Tattler, South Tipp Today and The Premier People had given great support and published numerous articles and photographs. The Irish Independent, Irish Vintage Scene and Farmers Journal also provided national publicity. Both local radios gave us hours of airwave coverage through programme discussions and notice boards. Thanks were also expressed to all the local parish churches for reading out mass notices and including us on their websites where available. Longfield Landscapes were thanked for sponsoring our website www.clonoultyrossmore vintage.com. The use of the internet is providing useful publicity through our web page, face book and notice boards we got a lot of enquiries and exhibitors.

The following officers were elected:

President John Crowley

Chairman Liam O’Dwyer

Joint Secretaries Judy Hayes and Joseph Kearney

Treasurer Trish Mulhall
