One unenlightened gentleman even went poetic and touched quill to paper to tell his story of the statue and his version of events. We can gladly reveal now that the operation on hand was the erection of the Grand Memorial to the deceased and living members of the New Tipperary Rangers GAA Club which was based in the area in the years 1945 to 1961.

Now that it has been completed, it will be officially unveiled on Saturday the 10th of March at 2p.m.with refreshments afterwards.A parade with pipers will proceed the ceremony and everyone is invited to come along. Those in the area who remember the good old days will be have a chance to meet friends and neighbours and chat over a cuppa.

On Friday the 9th of March the committee will have a pre opening night of music and dancing in the Horse and Hound in Dualla. So see you all on those two nights.
