GOAL is calling on people from all over Tipperary to step up to the mark and organise a GOAL Mile in their area this Christmas. Last year, Tipperary Miles were held from Ormonde Castle in Carrick-on-Suir and the Town Hall in Fethard, but GOAL is keen to confirm even more venues and dates for this year, and ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to join in the fun across Tipperary over the festive period.
The success of the GOAL Mile lies in its simplicity. As ever, people are asked to walk or run a Mile in their area and contribute whatever they can to GOAL on the day. It’s suitable for people of all ages, and fitness levels, while organising a Mile couldn’t be more simple.
“If anyone out there is thinking about putting on a Mile in their area, then the first thing they should do is get in touch with the GOAL fundraising team at our head office,” explains GOAL’s Head of Fundraising and Marketing, Lisa O’Shea. “Our team here will provide them with all the help and advice they need, and we will even post them out a starter pack with everything they require to stage a successful event.”
