PLANS are at an advanced stage for the relocation of the Roscrea Community Childcare service to a custom built facility at Tullaskeagh on the Knock Road.
Earlier this year the service which is operated by North Tipperary LEADER Partnership (NTLP) applied to the Department for Children and Youth Affairs for grant aid towards the costs of relocation and recently received the very welcome news that they were successful in their application and have been awarded a grant of E35,400. Michael Murray, CEO welcomed the announcement saying that the timing of the assistance could not have been better, given the Company’s plans to relocate the Service and the associated costs related to the move.
The Service which currently operates from the Resource Centre, New Line, Roscrea will relocate in July in time to welcome the new in-take of children to Pre-School in September. The Co-ordinator of the Service Margaret Murphy remarked that news of the planned relocation has been greeted very positively by parents and that the number of children registered for September is up on 2011.
The Community Childcare which is well established in Roscrea having been in existence now for fourteen years, caters for in excess of sixty five children and offers care to babies, waddlers, toddlers and pre-schoolers in the only full day service of its kind in the town. Staff are very much looking forward to continuing to provide a high quality service in the new state of the art facility. Services offered include the Free Pre-school Scheme (ECCE) as well as the State sponsored Subvention Scheme. For further information contact 087 677 4609.
