A Farmer, Building Contractor, and Company Director are among those to feature on the latest list of Tipperary tax defaulters.
The Quarterly List of Defaulters was published last week, in respect of the period beginning on January 1st, and ending on 31st March, of every person upon whom a fine or other penalty was imposed by a Court.
Two Tipperary people were fined in Court in relation to non-payment of taxes. Michael John Crowe, with an “unknown occupation,” from Ballybeg, Littleton, Thurles, was fined J2,500 for one offence called ‘Misuse of Marked Mineral Oil’.
Sean Maher, a Company Director from Golden Grove, Roscrea, was also fined J2,500 for one offence under the same Act.
The Revenue Commissioners also publish a list in relation to the period from January 1st to March 31st, of every person in whose case the Revenue Commissioners accepted a settlement. The list also includes cases in which a Penalty Determination was made by the Courts in respect of the same period.
