First up on Saturday was a game against Kerry where the boys played lovely football throughout eventually running out 7-1 winners. Saturday afternoon saw the South Tipp lads take on Limerick County and after a tight enough first period South Tipperary with some fluid passing and movement dominated the second half winning 9-1.

The first game on Sunday morning was against Limerick Desmond where South Tipp won 3-1 setting up a showdown with North Tipp in the final game to see who would qualify for the Munster Final.

North Tipp started the brighter and had the South Tipp boys under huge pressure early on.

They took a deserved lead early in the game and continued to dominate proceedings for the remainder of the half. Just on the stroke of half time South Tipperary equalised through a wonderful volley from Cian Bargary.

The second half started with South Tipperary coming more into the game but again fell behind 10 minutes into the second half. With just 3 minutes remaining on the clock and in search of the all important equaliser Kenneth Cunningham popped up with a goal of real quality.

Having picked up the ball on the right wing he cut inside past 2 defenders before unleashing a wonderful left footed shot into the top corner.

This is how the game finished and South Tipp qualified for the Munster Final by virtue of their superior goal difference.

Credit to our neighbours in North Tipp who had a fantastic tournament and played magnificently well in the final game. It goes to show the work been done by the clubs in the county both North and South as to the talent that was on view on Sunday.
