BoI ‘enterprise town’ comes to Roscrea

Bank of Ireland held an exciting programme of activity in Roscrea overthe weekend of June 12 and 13.

The ‘Enterprise Town’ initiative was organised by Bank of Ireland Roscrea in partnership with the local community. The initiative aimed to promote and drive business momentum for SMEs and the agri sector as well as supporting the wider sports and social community in the locality. The activities that took place over the two days included a Business and Community Expo on Friday 12 June from 3.30pm to 7.30pm and Sports and Community Expo on Saturday 13 June from 11am to 2pm. Both events took place in the Racket Hall Hotel, were free to attend and were open to both customers and non-customers of Bank of Ireland. A free shuttle service was provided from outside the Bank of Ireland on both days. Over 100 local businesses showcased at the Business and Community Expoevent on Friday which was officially opened by Des Walsh from Walsh Printing. Two panel discussions took place during the day. The first session focused on ‘Enterprise’ and included Noel Cahill from Sports Gift, Rita Guinan from Enterprise Ireland and Michael Cantwell from Boulaban Ice-cream.
