“From September 1 to the March 1, landowners are allowed to cut their hedges. I have had many phone calls and emails from people who are unhappy with some hedges around.

“I would now encourage landowners to take responsibility in getting this done. This is within their power and it does not fall under the councils remit.

“Leaving hedges wild impacts on many people including residents, businesses, walkers and cyclists.” said Cllr Bonfield.
