6 stand in Fine Gael selection

The Fine Gael selection convention for the 2014 local elections in the Nenagh area will take place on Monday next, September 30th and will see six candidates battle it out for the expected five tickets.

The Fine Gael selection convention for the 2014 local elections in the Nenagh area will take place on Monday next, September 30th and will see six candidates battle it out for the expected five tickets.

Sitting County Councillors Phyll Bugler and Ger Darcy will be joined by former County Councillor Tom Berkery, who served on three councils, and Nenagh Town Councillors Conor Delaney and Tom Moylan, and Louis McCormack.

Cllrs Bugler and Darcy will be completing their term of office on the last North Tipperary County Council in May in advance of the elections while Cllrs Delaney and Moylan will be doing likewise on nenagh Town Council.

Meanwhile, Toomevara man Tom Berkery has a lot of experience in political circles having served on three councils while Louis McCormack has been very active in the Lower Ormond region.
