As we reported last week, Lár na Páirce GAA museum in Thurles is currently undergoing a major refurbishment and is re-opening its doors on Friday 11th October with the GAA President, Liam O’Neill, performing the official opening. We’re delighted to hear that Lár na Páirce are inviting a primary school pupil to assist the president with the official opening on the day. It’s a great opportunity for someone to meet Liam O’Neill and help re-open the museum.

Seamus King of Lár na Páirce Museum tells us that all primary schools in the county have been contacted about this exciting competition. Pupils are being invited to write a letter using no more than hundred words explaining why they should be chosen. So get your entry into Lár na Páirce Museum (closing date for entries is September 30th) and get the chance to be part of GAA history.
