Woodlands Nursing Home in Bishopswood Dundrum, meets the requirements of a care home for the elderly as set out in law.
A HIQA inspector assessed the home on April 1/May 30. On the day of inspection: “The premises was visibly clean, adequately heated, lighted and ventilated. There was evidence that in response to previous inspection findings the provider continued on an incremental basis to complete refurbishment works to enhance the premises compliance with the Health Act, 2007.” Inspectors noted that the 34 residents “looked well and those who could reported feeling well. The inspectors were satisfied that their holistic care requirements were met to a good standard and the provider and person in charge had taken effective action to address the poor findings of the last inspection and to enhance both the quality of care provided to residents, the quality of life experienced by residents and their input into the organisation of the service.”
