Our under-15 hurlers are playing in an end of year blitz this Thursday in Roscrea.

This promises to be an entertaining day out as our junior hurlers have been training hard of late with their respective clubs and school. The opposition that awaits will be formidable in the form of Coláiste Phobail Ros Cré, Nenagh Vocational School, Borrisokane and Newport schools. With players like Gavin Dunne, Colm Ryan, Peter McNamara and Dean Bourke in our ranks however, we look forward with a sense of optimism. This blitz also offers our students their first opportunity to wear our new set of jerseys that were kindly presented to us by the Parents’ Council of Coláiste Mhuire Co-ed.

Our 1st year students will conclude GAA activities for this year with the much anticipated Rockwell Gaelic Football tournament on the 22nd of May. This has been an enjoyable tournament that our 1st years’ have partaken in over the years and has been a showcase for some of the best under-age footballers in the county. Finally, we wish two of our students Colm Ryan (Moyne-Templetouhy) and Gavin Dunne (Holycross-Ballycahill) all the best as they hope to be shortlisted on the Tipperary county under-16 Hurling team.
