ARDFINNAN National School has a professional and dedicated staff who give one-to-one attention to every pupil in the school, according to a report published recently.
A Department of Education Inspector carried out a Whole School Evaluation (WSE) on all aspects of teaching and learning at Ardfinnan NS, near Clonmel, on 11 May this year, in line with national requirements.
Ardfinnan NS is a co-educational school under the patronage of the Catholic bishop of Waterford and Lismore. At the time of the WSE, 210 pupils were enrolled. “The school is very supportive of pupils with special educational needs (SEN),” says the Inspector. “It has a special class for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and has received sanction for a second class.”
