Irish EU Science Olympiad

The State Examination Commission has identified five students from Presentation Secondary School Thurles as high achievers in Maths and Science in the 2012 Junior Certificate Examination. The students are Aida Izydorczyk, Christine Mc Auliffe, Jane Anne Mc Kevitt, Brigid Kemerer and Soracha Henderson.

The State Examination Commission has identified five students from Presentation Secondary School Thurles as high achievers in Maths and Science in the 2012 Junior Certificate Examination. The students are Aida Izydorczyk, Christine Mc Auliffe, Jane Anne Mc Kevitt, Brigid Kemerer and Soracha Henderson.

These students will take part in the National Olympiads on Oct 27th in DCU to select teams to represent Ireland in the International Junior Science Olympiad in Tehran and the European Union Science Olympiad in Luxembourg. BT Young Scientist 2013: Since our return to school, Transition years have been busy researching projects for the Young Scientist Competition. Twenty three projects have been entered and topics range from App’s for smart phones, Soil Science, Fuels, Mental Health, Electric Cars, Sensor Technology and Microbiology. We wish them every success with their applications as they eagerly await qualification
