Thurles Chamber has today (16/05/12) called for a Yes vote in the EU Fiscal Stability Treaty Referendum. The call comes following a meeting of the Chambers Ireland network representing companies employing more than 500,000 employees with An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny T.D. at Government Buildings on Monday 14th of May.

Speaking following the meeting, PJ Shanahan President of Thurles Chamber said “The business community in Ireland is resolutely in favour of a Yes vote in the forthcoming referendum as a means of underpinning the restoration of confidence. With confidence and greater levels of economic activity, we can secure the jobs already in place, support local business and create a better environment for new business start-ups. This will help to deliver the growth so vitally needed to promote recovery.”
