JUNIOR Minister Alan Kelly has received confirmation that “letters of intent” have been offered by the HSE to a contractor to build Borrisokane Day Care Centre.

This €1.25m project will likely begin construction in June this year and be completed next year. The centre will be located on the grounds of old convent where the current HSE health centre is.

Minister Kelly said: “This €1.5m investment again shows this Government’s commitment to providing new services in North Tipperary and follows on from the €4.5m investment announced for Nenagh Hospital. This new centre in Borrisokane will be of great benefit to residents in the locality as well as helping to alleviate the pressure on other elderly care services in North Tipperary, principally in St Conlan’s Nenagh, the Dean Maxwell Roscrea and the Hospital of the Assumption Thurles.”
