Many people have lately been wondering about progress on the Templemore Lake Project. The following is an update from the committee.
The first hiccup was the drilling of a well. The committee met with Jim McGuire head of water services with North Tipperary County Council. As there was no definite results from this meeting a further one will have to be convened.
The committee also met with The Office of Public Works and it transpires that while the Templemore Flood Relief project is underway, the OPW will not be using our lake and will not hinder our progress.
The design of the new sluice has been received and the committee are at present waiting on a method statement from the contractors.
At the end of this week some water will be drained off the lake. This will not affect the fish as a sufficient amount of water will be retained in the lake.
