Nenagh Town councillor Conor Delaney has welcomed the release of the Nenagh Town Council Roadworks Programme for 2012.
“Notwithstanding that funding from central government continues to be decreased on an annual basis, I am delighted that €278,000 is going towards a lot of worthwhile projects in Nenagh that will be completed and undertaken this year.
“It is a clear indication of the council’s commitment to improving our town,” said the Fine Gael councillor
Cllr Delaney outlined some of the areas of that will benefit from the 2012 programme – Gateways at Dublin road, Limerick road and Borrisokane road; Shesheraghkeale drainage and pavement outlay; Shamrock Court paving, kerbing, drainage, public lighting and footpaths; Ormond Keep pavement overlay; Knockanpierce overlay pavement section; Ball Alley Lane drainage and pavement restoration.
He confirmed that other areas targeted around Nenagh include drainage improvements, lining / signage and footpath replacement.
