Three Dead, One Injured in Cashel Crash

Gardai in Cashel are investigating a horrific crash which claimed the lives of three men last night.

Three men died, and another man was injured when a car and a rigid truck collided on the main N8 from Cashel to Dublin Northbound.

The collision happened at about 11.50pm last night, (Friday 21st January). All three men in the car - the driver, a front seat passenger and a rear seat passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the rigid truck was removed to South Tipperary General Hospital for minor injuries.

Forensic collision investigators attended the scene, and the road was closed while they carried out their examinations. Diversions were put in place.

It's understood the three men who died are foreign nationals while the surviving man in the truck is from Templemore. Gardai are appealing to the foreign national community in particular for help in identifying the crash victims.
