Nenagh gardai are searching for heartless thieves who broke into a house and stole Christmas toys. The burglary happened at Cluain Ban, Roscrea, on November 24.
The total value of the toys was E400 and the thieves also took E1,100 in cash and clothing valued at around E40.
The break-in was reported to the Gardai at around 5.45pm and Garda enquiries are ongoing.
In a second burglary at Camblin, Roscrea, on November 20, jewellery valued at E100 was taken by thieves who gained access to the house through a bathroom window, possibly between 4pm and 5pm.
Meanwhile, there were two break-ins in Nenagh on November 23 at Killnasallagh, Richmond, and Wilton, Gortlandroe. Nothing was stolen in either incident. A similar burglary in which nothing was taken happened at Inchamore, Ballina, on November 21.
There was an attempt to open a gun safe during an early morning break-in at Rearcross, Newport, on November 19. The owner returned home at around noon and is believed to have disturbed the intruders. Nothing was taken in the incident.
