Former Principal of Scoil Ruain in Killenaule, Mr Michael Hassett, will make a welcome return to the renowned third-level establishment on Sunday next to perform the official launch of the 2014 Killenaule-Moyglass Parish Journal, at 4pm

The Killenaule-Moyglass Journal committee are delighted that Mr Hassett has accepted an invitation to launch the 2014 edition- a massive 256 page publication crammed with articles and photographs relating to current events and activities of yesteryear..

Editor Sean Watts, who has been at the helm since the Journal’s inception in 2003- and Assistant Editor Martin O’Connell have invested a year’s extensive research and hard work into compiling a colourful and informative book which makes for an ideal Christmas present. The editors extend their gratitude to the many contributors of articles and photographs for the publication, and to well-known graphic designer, Thurles man Brendan O’ Connor. The eye-catching book covers, and excellent page lay-out, bears testimony to the expertise of Brendan, formerly of Tipperary Star. His work makes the publication one of the most attractive of its kind on the Christmas book market.

The front cover of the book in Blue and Gold features Tipperary and Killenaule footballer, Paddy Codd who created history by captaining the Premier County to National League, Division 4 honours in Croke Park this year, and also featured on the covers is a photograph of Killenaule Tug-o-War team who gloriously captured 2014 All-Ireland honours in Tullow.
