North and South Tipperary Sports Partnerships recently facilitated the CARA Adapted Physical Activity Centre’s one day Disability Inclusion Training workshop. The training day was held in the presentation school in Thurles and was open to teachers, parents, coaches and anybody with an interest in including people with disabilities in sport and physical activity.

12 people attended the training course bringing the total number to 39 people in Tipperary who have availed of the Disability Inclusion Training workshop in the last year. The course enables participants to learn the theory behind adapted physical activity/disability sports and develop their own ability to adapt activities to include all ability groups.

The Disability Inclusion Training will run again in 2014. For more information or to register your interest please contact Vincent Foley, Sports Inclusion Disability Officer, North Tipperary Sports Partnership, on 067-43604 or email Vincent@ntsp.ie.
