A Clonmel independent Councillor has hit out at the decision to close the polling station at St Patrick’s Hospital in Cashel.

The move, which Independent Councillor Richie Molloy says was only announced this week, means that patients will have to cast their vote in one of the local schools in Cashel for the referendum tomorrow.

Councillor Molloy says that many patients at the hospital will not be able to vote as they are not mobile enough to leave the hospital.

He is calling for the decision to be reversed for tomorrow’s vote.
