For those of you who had such a wonderful walk on the darkness into light walk in Roscrea some weeks back and are looking for an altogether harder challenge the slieve bloom challenge in aid of pieta house Roscrea will take place on Saturday the 9th of June.
Walkers will register at racket hall on the morning at 7am where a bus will take them the short journey to the start at gurteen wood where they will walk the 30km to glenbarrow car park on the other side of the slieve blooms. A bus will then take you back to racket hall for a well earned meal.
There will be an option for the less experienced hill walkers to join a led group accompanied by an experienced guide. Proper foot ware and clothing is essential for a long day on the hills and conditions on the day. The cost for this challenge is only €20 Inc bus and eal with the remaining profit going to pieta house Roscrea for suicide awareness and self harm.
For more details on the challenge you can contact Cathal on 086 3399193 email email@example.com or jj on 087 7916918. You can also log onto face book slieve bloom challenge where a full list of the days events can be found.
