NENAGH'S Mayor Seamus Morris has vowed to "cause a shock" in the forthcoming general election.
The Sinn Fein town and county coucillor this Tuesday declared that he will contest the election, which is expected to take place on February 25 following the collapse of the Fianna Fail / Green Party Government.
"I have caused a shock in every election that I have run in, and will cause a shock in this one. I wouldn't be running unless I thought I could win a seat," he said of his chances of victory. "I am a viable candidate and have a reasonable chance."
