FF Cllr Imelda Goldsboro has expressed her delight that a Community Alert Crime preventative meeting will take place on Wednesday October 1st at 7pm in Scoil Ruain, Killenaule.
This is a public meeting and is open to all members of every community. The rise in rural burglaries, scams and bogus callers to homes in recent weeks is a cause for great concern, says Cllr Goldsboro. “This recent spate of burglaries has left people with deep insecurities within their homes and communities. This meeting will be supported by members of An Garda Siochana and the Tipperary Crime Preventative Officer and Members of Muintir na Tire who will provide information and advice on how to protect your homes and property. People in rural areas feel even more isolated at this particular time of year. I ask that a member of each household attend this meeting, and any issues or concerns you may have can be addressed on the night. I also encourage you to invite your neighbours, friends and family. Together, we can combat rural crime.”
