Thurles CBS Secondary School currently have four projects in the pipeline as part of the Young Social Innovators initiative which attracts hundreds of entries countrywide.
The CBS projects, which has been worked on by Transition Year students, include Rat Park which relates to a farm safety project: Protect, a project which promotes the pushing of environmental protection into everyday life; W.I.S.E. - a water safety initiative which is well worth a look; and Solidarity with Irish Homeless which focuses on what it must be like to be homeless.
