Members of Thurles Town Council have lashed AIB and receivers KPMG for the manner in which they are running Hayes Hotel - all room bookings have been stopped at the historic premises, The Tipperary Star understands.

Councillors discussed the issue this week after a further 10 staff were let go and a stern letter is to be written to AIB and KPMG. ‘A disgrace’ and ‘crying shame’ were phrases used to describe the actions taken by the receiver.
