Fine Gael Councillor Conor Delaney has ended speculation that he may run as an Independent in next May’s local elections.

After failing to secure his party’s nomination at a recent selection convention Cllr Conor Delaney confirmed to the Tipperary Star that he totally rejects the idea of running as an Independent: “Following speculation after failing to secure a nomination at last week’s selection convention and numerous calls from supporters I want to assure the members of Fine Gael and the public at large that I have no intention whatsoever of running as an Independent in next year’s local elections. I will continue working hard as a public representative for the people who voted for me back in 2009”.
