Lions Club 10k Run

The Roscrea 10k run organised by Roscrea Lions and supported by North Tipperary Leader and Roscrea St Patricks Festival Committee is officially launched. The run is for serious athletes and the Athletic’s Association Ireland approved route will have electronically timed start and finish. This 10k event will prove popular with runners eager to beat their personal best and it is hoped that runners will come from all over the region to take part. Registration is through runireland.com and the entry is just 20 euro. Proceeds after expenses will go to Roscrea Lions local projects. Lending their support at the launch were Rebecca Maher, Henry Healy, Liam Brady and Peter Wright. Chartered in 1968, the Lions Club runs about six major fundraising projects during the year with the finds going to local community projects.
