Focus on Nenagh and Thurles this weekend
The Droichead Foundation, name “Bridge” from hospital bed to home was set up to help put the homes of people needing kidney dialysis to avail of it in their homes. Currently in North Tipperary there are many people who travel to Limerick three days a week for hospital dialysis. We have already put in place bedrooms and bathrooms for people who now can avail of home dialysis doing away with the drudgery of 6.30am start arriving home late in the evening on treatment days. This has made a huge change to their lives. It is the aim of the Droichead Foundation to help people with chronic illness and disabilities who cannot avail of any funding to make adjustments to their homes and thereby keeping people in their own environment.
Droichead Foundation works independently from the Irish Kidney Association who do not provide for these works. As part of our fundraising activities we are having a Church Gate Collection on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May in Thurles and Nenagh.
We ask you to support our collection this coming weekend, every euro helps and will be willingly accepted to reduce this deficit.
