In the week that celebrates International Women’s Day, Petmania are calling on women taking part in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon this June to walk, run or jog as part of Team Petmania.

Petmania is working closely with their animal rescue partners to find forever homes for the 1000’s of dogs and cats currently in rescue centres around the country, and is looking for mini-marathoners to take part and help both raise awareness and funds for these amazing charities.

Marketing Manager for Petmania, Emily Miller, says “the women’s mini marathon is a fantastic event and it’s a wonderful opportunity to set a personal challenge, and to seek sponsorship from friends and family to help you achieve your goal. This year is Team Petmania’s first year taking part in the event, but we are hoping that we can get together a sizeable team of women to help us fundraise for these amazing charities”.

Petmania currently works actively with six rescue partners around the country, and all funds raised by those taking part in the mini marathon will go straight to them to help fund the on-going daily and medical needs of the 100’s of animals in their care every day.

Participants can choose to nominate a particular charity to raise money for, or they can fundraise for all of Petmania’s partner rescues, and their money will be split amongst each of them.
