Clonoulty Rossmore Vintage Club will hold their 12th Annual Vintage Rally in aid of South Tipperary Hospice Movement on the 19th August 2012 in Clonoulty GAA Field, Cashel, Co.Tipperary commencing at 12 o’clock.
Last year we raised €10,000.00 bringing our total presented to Hospice to date to €217,000.00. We have also given €12,000 to other charities ie. Boher, Red Cross etc.
Hopefully this years rally will be as big a success in terms of money raised, fun had and displays as last years. Vintage cars attended ranging in age from the 1920s up to the 1980s. Many tractors were on display with a wide variety of models. There was also a delightful mixture of motor bikes and a display of military vehicles.
It was like taking a walk down memory lane for the older among us looking at the memorabilia on display. There was a wide variety of horse and donkey drawn implements on view. Children had great fun playing with the fire blowers and railway cart.
Family fun is always guaranteed by the variety of sideshows and activities people can participate in. The most popular are the tractor balancing, steady hand, pegs on the line and match the make to model of car. The bouncing castle and activity center is always another hub of activity. Books, games, CDs etc, are all on sale in our bric-a-brac stall.
The All Ireland Semi Final will be shown live in the Pavilion. Tipp FM will also be broadcasting from the venue. Refreshments are also available on site. A souvenir program will be available on the day which will include many local historical articles.
Anyone willing to help on the day please contact any of the committee members below.
