The level of service given by Airtricity to repair public lighting was criticised by councillors at Nenagh MDC’s February meeting.

Cllr Hughie McGrath, describing the service as “poor”, said that lights at the car park on Friar Street, Nenagh, were “always out. It is not good enough if they can’t fix them and keep them fixed.”

He was backed by Cllr Ger Darcy, who had issues with lights at Ardcroney last December. “I’ve said it before, it’s a poor service.”

Meanwhile, Cllr Phyll Bugler was told that lights at Main Street and Quarry Lane, Ballina, and outside Boher Church, had been repaired.
